Container project

Our Container Project involves collecting goods that can benefit individuals, organisations and communities across Ghana. We collect a wide variety of items (school desks, wheelchairs, clothing, etc) for the containers and personally distribute all of them when we get to Africa. We also collaborate with other charities, who wish to rent some space in a container. Our Head of Projects in Ghana, Victor Owusu, helps link up the items to where there is need.

In addition, we have a Farm4life charity shop in Ghana: the proceeds go towards our projects.

There is a large variety of items that we need to continue building a greater future for communities in Ghana.
These include:

  • Musical instruments
  • Sports equipment (clothing, hurdles, footballs, rugby balls, hockey pucks and sticks)
  • Workshop tools
  • Educational books and stationary
  • Pre-school toys (plastic figures, soft toys, ride on toys, outdoor play equipment)
  • Electronic luxuries (small televisions, DVD players, radios, video games consoles & games)
  • Small mobile phones
  • Kitchen equipment (kettles, blenders, microwaves, irons)
  • Adult novels
  • Unused toiletries
  • Sewing machines
  • Clean lightweight clothing
  • Sheets and towels
  • Footwear
